Ruth Sansom

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Sansom. She was the widow of John Sansom (died 2006), who was a founder Member of the Society, co-creator of the Beacons Way, one of those most responsible for the development of our Walks programme and a great inspiration to all who knew him.  He and Ruth had an encyclopedic knowledge of the Brecon Beacons and led many excellent walks over the years, enriched by their local knowledge (and often enlivened by disputes between them over the best route!).

The Society owes them both a great debt.

Her funeral is at the Gwent Crematorium, Croesyceiliog, Cwmbran NP44 2BZ at 3pm on the 5th December.
