Powys Local Development Plan Update
Since the last posting on the Powys Local Development Plan several letters have been published in the Brecon and Radnor on this matter (from Powys CC on one hand and primarily from CPRW on the other).
Many organisations (including ourselves and the Snowdonia Society) responded with concern to the consultation on these latest changes to the LDP (called Further Focussed Changes).
There were in fact 741 responses, and as people do not usually respond to agree, it is safe to say that the vast majority are raising concerns.
The fact that there were 741 responses to what are supposed to be minor changes, compared to 254 responses to the initial consultation on the whole LDP in 2015 (all 146 pages of it plus attachments), suggests that the people of Powys have considerable concerns on this strategic plan for their county.
The LDP is on the agenda of the Powys Cabinet meeting on the 17th January 2017. This meeting is open to the public and it is expected to be well attended.
