Lionel Elton

It is with great sadness that the family of Lionel Elton have reported that he passed away on Monday 16th January . Condolences can be left on his Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/lionel.elton.9.

He was just a few weeks away from celebrating his 90th birthday. Everyone who knew him will know what a vital, exuberant and interesting person he was. He lived a happy and full life even into old age even after the terrible loss of his wife, Miriam 18 years ago. Just a few months ago he could be found walking on the Blorenge.

He always loved music and he never stopped making, teaching and learning music – most recently picking up the trombone with his eyes set on the Abergavenny Brass Band.
