Application to divert part of public footpath no. 31 in the Community of Gwernyfed.
The NPA has received an application to divert part of footpath at Cwm Hwnt, Tregoyd, Brecon, LD3 0SS. Exact details and are available from Phil O’Shea ([email protected])
The plan shows details of the proposal and indicates any adjacent or connecting rights of way and/or adopted roads. Also with this letter is a plan incorporating an aerial photograph of the application area. The effect of the proposal is two-fold:
- to divert the footpath from an area where the ground is wet due to the presence of a spring to a route which is easier underfoot, less steep and much less enclosed. It would result in a considerable decrease in maintenance work and would provide a more enjoyable and easier route for users with far-reaching views of the Black Mountains;
- to divert the footpath away from the buildings at Cwm Hwnt and reduce the number of gates that will be required.
Observations are requested by 1 April 2022.
