Rules for Taking Dogs

• Can I take a dog? Unless otherwise stated dogs may be taken on most of our walks.

• Leader's discretion. Please contact the walk leader to verify they are happy for you to take your dog.

• Dogs and the Law. Under the Countryside and Rights of Way Act, dogs must be on a short lead from March 1st to July 31st and at all times near livestock.

• Keep your dog under control. You are responsible for keeping your dog under control and it must not be a nuisance to other walkers. The walk leader may ask you to keep it on a lead or even leave the walk if it is not under control at all times.
