Footbridge located at SO23873,21915 north of Llanbedr

The bridge has been washed away. NPA warden has found it 150 metres downstream and still in the river. The bridge was located at the point where the Beacons Way crosses the Grwyne Fechan. Unfortunately, there is a substantial diversion along roads in either northerly or southerly directions.The bridge will need to be ‘rescued’ to assess whether it can be reinstalled. Chances are that it will need complete replacement. Notices will be placed at either end of the affected footpath to say that there is no bridge. It is likely to be like this for some time as there will be insufficient resources at the moment to fund a replacement.
